Top Gear is facing ups and downs. The ‘Fracasgate’ scandal saw the end of Top Gear’s current format. After a fight between a producer and Jeremey, BBC announced the termination of Jeremy Clarkson’s contract. Afterwards, BBC cancelled all episodes of the show and it is still off-air. Ever since Jeremy was fired, the fan base of Top Gear around the globe has been waiting for the new host.
But now finally the ice has started to melt and The Independent stated that the BBC is planning to bring a change to the format of the show and it will be on-air with a different approach.
BBC will broadcast every episode of the show with the different host. It might sound a bit strange for some fans, but it’s not. For example, a popular news satire program Have I Got News for You? has not hosted by the same team since 2002.
The main question is that will James May and Richard Hammond play any part in the new format? Because two of them have already left the show by tweeting that they will not host the show without Jeremy. But the news source has reported that the BBC has offered them a million pound per season deal to carry on without the captain.
