Michael Schumacher Falling

For being in coma for almost 6 months, the toll of that unfortunate skiing accident has finally been paid, the hospital administration has released F1 legend, Michael Schumacher

The world was taken aback after the news of Michael Schumacher getting injured while he was on a skiing trip on December 29, 2013. That was the most heart-stopping and sad news of the time, and then, Formula-1 fans from the world were praying for their beloved legend’s health and life.

Thankfully, all the prayers have been answered and almost after six months, Michael Schumacher has come out of coma and after a check-up the hospital management has released him from the hospital.

Schumacher had been put on medically induced coma ever since he faced that unfortunate accident which caused severe brain swelling as a result of significant head trauma. Schumacher won the F1 world championship seven times and he was known as  ‘unbeatable’. After this accident, he has been transferred to Lausanne University hospital in Switzerland where he will begin rehabilitation shortly.

Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s manager, confirmed that Michael Schumacher has left the GUH Grenoble and will soon start the long phase of rehabilitation, and thankfully, he is not in a coma anymore.

The early signs of consciousness and movement were first observed in April but this announcement is the major update ever since. Neurosurgeon Tony Belli said that it may take months or even years to fully recover for an accident of this extent.

The rehabilitation process is completely dependent on the physical and mental condition of the patient, the younger and fit they are, the sooner they will recover otherwise it takes approximately three to four years.
