Ford has always come up with so wonderful vehicles for all walks of life, some especially custom build models are even worth dying for. Just to show you what I mean by that, take the Ford Transit Skyliner Concept which is built on the 2015 Transit by Galpin Auto Sports. It is Transformers kind of a jet on wheels powered by a mighty Ford engine, which can transform into four different modes by the press of a button even from a smartphone app. This model is based on a high roof, long wheelbase model with plenty of room in it.
What makes this one different from others is that it has movable chairs for the captain as you may call it, which can shift around to four different modes. First one is the business mode where chairs gather around a motorized table that unfolds. Second one is the theatre mode where the seats turn around and recline so you may watch movie on a 52-inch retractable LCD rigged with 7.2 surround sound system for a unique movie experience. Then there is a leisure mode where the passengers are given a chance to recline back and enjoy the ride as the tailgate opens a further four feet wide.
You don’t call it a skyliner for nothing; to meet all your infotainment needs, it has got its own satellite and media server. To make the things even lustier, in the back, there is a built-in bar with all the accessories. The only aspect this joy ride is lacking is a bathroom, if it had been there, you could easily live in there forever. To fully enjoy all the available amenities, you surely do need a chauffeur.
This private jet will be making its debut at New York Auto Show this summer.
