This year’s Chicago Auto Show will showcase crossovers from Honda and it has been confirmed by the Japanese automaker that they will introduce all new Pilot at the Windy City Expo. Honda will preview the next generation Ridgeline pickup while its counterpart Acura has confirmed the RDX for Chicago Auto Show.

The third generation of Pilot has been developed and built in America, whereas the first generation of Pilot was introduced in 2002 and the second was introduced in 2008. The teaser image shows an eight seater crossover with three rows. It features new technology, advanced safety and class-leading fuel economy. It offers advanced family effectiveness and flexibility, all packed in the new Pilot. The third generation Pilot will sit above the recently introduced CR-V and HR-V.

Honda’s luxury division Acura will reveal all-new RDX at Chicago Auto Show. They have already introduced the SNX at the Detroit Auto Show last week.

The Pilot based MDX is the larger version of RDX, however the RDX is based on the CR-V which was introduced in 2006. The second generation of the RDX was introduced in 2013 while an updated version has already been rolled out. This updated version promises to deliver performance and a long list of styling tweaks.

It also offers a desirable luxury and improved safety features. Jeff Conrad is the senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division, He said, “Honda continues to fortify its light-truck lineup in 2015, this time turning our eye to the fast-growing family SUV segment. The new Pilot will raise the bar in a segment it helped to create, with more innovation, style, premium features and family utility than ever before.”
