For now, the new Honda Civic only offers two petrol engines. One is 1.0-Litre turbo which gives 129bhp and another one is of 1.5-Litre four cylinder engine that produces 180bhp. Of the two, the 1.0-Litre offers punchy performance and moderate fuel economy, while the other one gives more power and can be a driver’s car for its performance. Both the Honda Civic Petrol Engines have the option of manual or automatic gearbox; manual transmission is sharp and without any delay while for automatic gear change there is a CVT automatic system.
All the cars are front-wheel drive and till now there is no chance of a hybrid or a diesel engine to be launched.
There is a lot of technology upgrade in the car and this is the area where change in its true sense has been applied. The new Honda Civic is more spacious due to its increased length and wider stretching. The seats are more comfortable with center depth and upholstery. There are different trims and cuts and fabric choice for different trim levels and not any one trim resembles the other in its inner view. Also the features that are offered also differ from trim to trim. But one thing is for sure, that all the things are logically laid out in this improved Civic. Nothing seems out of place and the optional kit available apart from standard infotainment system can make even the starting trim level a lovely surprise for the buyer.
