Michael Schumacher Accident

Michael Schumacher’s brain injury may be caused by GoPro camera, attached atop of helmet

It was a bad day for the lovers of Formula 1 champion, when he was in news headlines for being seriously injured after an accident. Yes! You are right, I am talking about the living legend Michael Schumacher getting injured on the date of December 29, 2013.

He was on a skiing tour in the French Alps resort of Maribel and had an accident while skiing. That was most heart-stopping news of the time that he had a serious head injury. He was then shifted to the hospital where he was put on medically induced coma for six months. During his stay at hospital, his medical records were dramatically stolen from the hospital. He was shifted to his home last month.

The investigations of that incident were carried out by the authorities and now they have released the preliminary reports. These reports show that the GoPro camera seemed to be the reason of that serious head injury. Yes! The camera. This camera was attached to his helmet and when he smacked his head on the rocks, his camera played a vital role in splitting the helmet away.

According to the reports, the integrity of the ski helmet might be compromised by the GoPro camera attached atop of the helmet. It may have been the camera that prevented him from skiing away unscratched instead of putting him in a trauma injury and coma for six months.

ENSA Alpine Sports Academy in France is investigating the incident and influence of that camera to the helmet’s power and integrity. Reports said that the camera, as a solid object between the helmet and rocks, caused the helmet to split open and failed to protect the head of Michael Schumacher.

Michael is still in the rehabilitation process at his home in Switzerland and yet to regain the ability to work or even speak. Definitely we are wishing our hero to be on tracks again and we will bring you updates as his recovery continues.
