Google’s driverless car will be seen on the roads soon

Google has revealed the details about its driverless car. It will require no human input, the new driverless car will have fully automated systems. Google seems to revolutionize the automotive industry with its fully operational driverless car.

The first public road test is expected soon, Google has taken ex-Hyundai’s boss to head the project. Mr. John Krafcik, Operational Head of the project. He says Google will re-write history with its revolutionary product, it got high momentum even before real- world release. It is really strange but fun when you are sitting in the car without steering wheel and pedals.

It was back in May 2014 when Google first released the prototype of its driverless car, it was without headlights even though it was just a mock up. But after that Google worked hard to make the dream true.

The experts at Google say we have been working on different prototypes, sensors and testing different systems of the car to make it a reality. And now everything has been put together to make it a fully functional vehicle. However “safety drivers” will be there in the car for a longer period and directed to respond in case of an unwanted situation.

Google argues, there wouldn’t be any safety drivers for a constant period of time and the vehicle will be “fully driverless”. You most likely see it on the roads by the end of 2015.

The Google has done extensive research of five years to bring “driverless car” for the world. Although other leading automobiles like Mercedes and Volvo models have featured their vehicles with innovative technology, but Google had used “best in class technology” for this purpose.

The Google has used 17 sensors in total, which is a combination of radars, lasers and cameras. It is able to capture 3D picture of surrounding within a 200m radius. A test drive was conducted earlier in this year at the speed of 25mph. The engineers at Google say, our driverless car never gets sleepy like a human being. It has an effective 360-degree awareness system.
