The 2.2-litre diesel engine is available with 148bhpversion and 173bhp of power. Both are made in the house of Mazda without any sharing with any other car maker. The best in all is 2.2-litre diesel engine with 148bhp output. It is quick, economical and powerful. It takes the Mazda 6 from0-62m/h in just 9.0 seconds with a handsome fuel average of 67m/g. It is a well-rounded engine with a smooth nature, plenty of punch and linear power delivery. It is equipped with six-speed manual gearbox.
The diesel version with 173bhp output is noticeably faster and takes the car from 0-62m/h in just 7.9 seconds with top speed of 139m/h. The automatic six-speed gear system is available with this version though optional for 148bhp version. Both version’s are very keen in exhaustion of Co2, they emit 107g/km, means harmless to the nature.
The Mazda petrol engines are not behind from the diesel engines in power, performance and efficiency. Both versions of petrol produce a quick, smooth and elegant drive. There is a little bit difference in petrol engines and diesel engines of high revs speed and acceleration. You will get extra power with the six-speed automatic gearbox. The petrol engine with 162bhp output gives more confidence during drive.
The Mazda 6 has refined its interior designing along with exterior look. Seating arrangement is improved a lot. The front seats are well supportive and have a good range of adjustment according to your physique. The sport version of 6 is equipped with heated power-adjustable leather seats.
Every Mazda 6 has a reasonable color screen as standard. Being a large saloon there is a plenty of space, storage bins and cubbies. The outside visibility is very good.
