The new model from Koenigsegg is dubbed as Agera RS which is set to be unveiled next month at the Geneva motor show. The details of this supercar are still unknown, but the name has been revealed by an online infographic according to which this model has been dubbed as Agera RS.
The new Agera RS is the lighter yet more power focused version based on the already praised Agera R which is powered by 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, developing 1100 bhp.
All this massive power enables this supercar to take only 2.9secs to reach 62mph from standstill and reaches 124mph in 7.5sec with a top speed of 250mph. Koenigsegg One:1 is the flagship car of the company and has 1322bhp so the Agera RS will slot between One:1 and Agera R somewhere.
Some suspension components, rear spoiler and door mirrors are the aerodynamic features that may filter down to Agera RS from One:1. The Agera RS is definitely set be an awesome addition to company’s already highly praised models.
The only contender to Agera RS could be the McLaren P1 GTR which packs 986bhp, that’s 83bhp more than the standard P1’s. McLaren is also set to make its debut at the Geneva motor show with its twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 hybrid engine. The interesting fact is that this version – thanks to its slick tyres – has 10 per cent higher power-to-weight ratio advantage over any standard P1 road car.
