Aston Martin works is the official restoration division of Aston Martin and they are celebrating their 60thanniversary. On this special occasion, Aston Martin announced that they are introducing the Vanquish limited edition with the help of Aston Martin works. Aston Martin has plans to produce only six units of the limited edition by 2015. This 60th Anniversary limited edition Vanquish will memorialise the diamond anniversary of Aston Martin works.
The six units of Vanquish are likely to be presented in any of Coupe or Volante shapes. All six units will offer different and unique colours, styling and interior features will also be offered as unique and bespoke. Specifically, the bespoke metal, rotary control dials made of old pistons and these models will be the most legendary Aston Martin models in the past six decades.
This list of classics started from DB 2/3 Mk II saloon from the 1950s and all the way through DB5, the V8 Coupe, vantage x-pack, supercharged and now the original Vanquish. These six will cumulate the attributes from the entire heritage of Aston Martin.
Several other styling details exclusively include the yellow accents on side vents and alloy wheels, centre seat panels are offered in black and white with decorative yellow stitching.
Every model out of these six Vanquish versions will have 576bhp from a 6.0 Litre V12 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This power unit managed to clock 0-62 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds and can hit the 200mph speed mark.
Aston Martin Works is one of the leading historic brands in British history and from 1955 to 2007; they have produced around 15,000 cars in Newport. They have moved their production facility to Gaydon, Warwickshire. Pricing is not confirmed yet, but it is likely to be over £192,995 for Coupe and £204,995 for Volante.
